Job Description

The Application Developer/Senior Application Developer will work as part of a team and individually with little supervision to design and code functional programs and applications.  


Essential Functions:

  • Work with clients to understand requirements and how they translate to application features.
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications.
  • Design prototypes creatively and according to specifications.
  • Write high quality source code to program.
  • Complete applications within deadlines.
  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch.
  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Proactively evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features.
  • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems or relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience. 
  • 5+ years’ experience as an applications developer designing and building applications.
  • Ability to program in C#, HTML5, .NET Entity Framework, JSON, XML and T-SQL.
  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using Visual Studio.
  • Experience developing programs on top of complex institutional database structures and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
  • Act as a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Certified application developer is a plus.
  • Experience with Yardi Systems and the Commercial Real Estate industry are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data warehouse solutions a plus.
  • Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
  • This position requires the incumbent to work from the San Antonio office.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.


Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently required to stand, walk, and use business equipment daily such as computer, copier, fax, telephone, etc.; frequently required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to handle stress caused by multiple priorities, and other unforeseen situations associated with the organization.
  • Eyesight and hearing must be correctable to standard level.
